He showed promise from an early age, demonstrating natural coordination, strong competitive instincts and an unusual ability to concentrate on the court. As his confidence has grown, so has his commitment to training, competing and improving every part of his game.

His Love of Tennis

Tennis is much more than an after-school activity for Magnus. He genuinely loves playing, practising and competing. He is happiest on the court and is always keen to learn something new, whether that means refining his serve, improving his movement or developing better match strategies.

Focus and Determination

Magnus approaches tennis with impressive focus for his age. He listens carefully to his coaches, works hard during training and is learning how to remain composed during demanding matches.

He is also developing the resilience required in competitive sport—learning from difficult points, close defeats and challenging opponents before returning to the court ready to improve.

Early Promise

Magnus showed promise from an early age. His enthusiasm, coordination and competitive nature quickly became apparent, leading him to begin competing in national tournaments in Panama.

He has since achieved strong results at U10 level, competed successfully against older players and represented Panama internationally on the Central American junior circuit.

Family Support

Magnus’s tennis journey has been supported by enormous encouragement from his family. They have helped him access coaching, training and tournament opportunities while ensuring that his enjoyment of the game remains at the centre of everything.

His family are proud not only of his results, but also of the commitment, courage and sportsmanship he shows on and off the court.

Magnus is continuing to develop his technique, confidence and match experience through national and international competition.

His long-term journey is only beginning, but his love of tennis, determination to improve and strong family support provide an excellent foundation for the future.

Magnus trains three days a week with a strong focus on technical development, match play, fitness, and mental resilience. He approaches every training session with determination, always looking to improve and embrace new challenges. His disciplined work ethic, coachability, and positive attitude have been key to his rapid progress, earning him recognition as one of Panama's leading Under-10 players. Whether in training or competition, Magnus is committed to giving his best, learning from every experience, and representing with pride.

Currently ranked No. 2 in Panama’s U10 division, Magnus has reached four tournament finals during 2026, achieved his first international victories and demonstrated that he can compete successfully against older players.

2026 Season Highlights
🥉 January — Panama National Rankings U10

Magnus began the season with a third-place finish in the Panama U10 National Rankings, establishing himself among the country’s strongest players in his age group.

🥈 February — Panama National Rankings U12

Competing above his usual age category, Magnus reached the U12 back draw final and gained valuable experience against older players.

🥈 March — Panama Pacífico Cup

Magnus continued his strong start to the year by finishing runner-up at the Panama Pacífico Cup.

🌎 July — CONTECA Junior Tournament, Costa Rica

Magnus made his international debut on the CONTECA junior circuit, competing against talented players from across Central America.

Highlights included:

Victories against players from Costa Rica, Honduras and Belize
Four competitive matches against Costa Rican and Guatemalan opponents
A closely contested tiebreak defeat
Match points earned in another tight match
Growing confidence and improvement throughout the four-day event

The tournament marked an important step from national competition into the Central American junior circuit.

🥈 August — Club de Golf Tennis Tournament U11

Magnus reached the final of the Club de Golf Tennis Tournament and finished runner-up in the U11 category.

The result demonstrated his growing consistency and ability to compete successfully in a higher age group.

🎓 Intercollegial Championships

Representing his school in the Intercollegial Championships, Magnus is currently top of his group.

His performances have shown his ability to compete consistently while handling the additional responsibility of representing his school.

🥈 September — Club de Golf Tennis Tournament U12

Playing two age categories above his usual U10 division, Magnus reached another final and finished runner-up in the U12 tournament.

This was a particularly encouraging result, reflecting his ability to adapt and compete successfully against older players.
